People are often unreasonable, irrational, and self-centered. Forgive them anyway. If we are kind, people may accuse us of selfish, ulterior motives. Be kind anyway. If we are successful, we will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies. Succeed anyway. If we are honest and sincere people may deceive us. Be honest and sincere anyway. What we spend years creating, others could destroy overnight. Create anyway. If we find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous. Be happy anyway. The good we do today, will often be forgotten. Do good anyway. Give the best we have, and it will never be enough. Give our best anyway. In the final analysis, it is between us and God. It was never between us and them anyway.

It seems as though the more we know, and the more we find ourselves in tune with life, the crazier that the world and the people in it actually seem. Even through this, we have to be willing to love. It takes courage and faith to continue to believe in people when they have shown us every reason in the world not to. Our lives are not at all about who we are, and what we accomplish on our own, our lives are about who we effect from what we are able to accomplish, and how our world will continue to be forever changed by our accomplishments. Our lives will be remembered by how much we were actually able to love. How much we were able to give when we should have really been the one's receiving, how much were we able to sacrifice when we should be the one being lifted up in a sense. Will our love abound more than anything? This will be our legacy...
