... I TRULY LOVE YOU ...
Dearest Mama,
Your busy schedules and the routines you had had as a career mum were of no problems to you. Day in and day out of school, together running errands with Ayah and doing the house chores, as well as managing us seemed to be a piece of cake to you. Being young and curious, we did need to know and learn a lot of things.Questions and queries..everything..just named it... seemed to be at your fingertips when asked. You had your days well organised and in placed. As i grew up, i realised how wondrous you had worked out things...and here I am now....trying to talk and put up my words of all your lifes' devotion to us. But Mama, i know words aren't enough to tell and explain and to be in comparison to all what you have done and what i've got from you..
Mama, to me, as well as Along, Angah, Alang, Uda and Ateh everyday is actually a Mother's Day. But today, this date is noted the Worlds' Mothers Day...
Thus for sure...YOU ARE THE WORLD TO ME, TO US MAMA... WE TRULY LOVE YOU.
Mama,
You were there when we took our first steps,
And went unsteadily across the floor.
You pushed and prodded: encouraged and guided,
Until our steps took us out the door...
You worry now "Are they ok?"
Is there more you could have done?
As we walk the paths of our unknown
You wonder"Where have my children gone?"
Where we are is where you have led us,
With your special love you showed us a way,
To believe in ourselves and the decisions we make.
Taking on the challenge of life day-to-day.
And where we go you can be sure,
In spirit you shall never be alone.
For where you are is what matters most to us,
Because to us that will always be home...
Mama,
And went unsteadily across the floor.
Mama,
If i could give you rubies
for the heartache that you've known
If i could give you pearls
for the wisdom that you've shown.
Then you'll have a treasure, mama,
that would mount up to the skies
That would almost match
the sparkle in your kind and loving eyes.
But i have no pearls, no diamonds,
As i'm sure you're well aware
So i'll give you gifts more precious
My devotion, love and care.
for the heartache that you've known
If i could give you pearls
for the wisdom that you've shown.
Then you'll have a treasure, mama,
that would mount up to the skies
That would almost match
the sparkle in your kind and loving eyes.
But i have no pearls, no diamonds,
As i'm sure you're well aware
So i'll give you gifts more precious
My devotion, love and care.

...got this piece from an email of a friend...
A MOTHERS LOVE A little boy came up to his mother in the kitchen one evening while she was fixing supper, and handed her a piece of paper that he had been writing on. After his Mom dried her hands on an apron, she read it, and this is what it said:
For cutting the grass: $5.00
For cleaning up my room this week: $1.00
For going to the store for you: $.50
Baby-sitting my kid brother while you went shopping: $.25
Taking out the garbage: $1.00
For getting a good report card: $5.00
For cleaning up and raking the yard: $2.00
Total owed: $14.75
Well, his mother looked at him standing there, and the boy could see the memories flashing through her mind. She picked up the pen, turned over the paper he'd written on, and this is what she wrote:
For the nine months I carried you while you were growing inside me:
No Charge
For all the nights that I've sat up with you, doctored and prayed for you:
No Charge
For all the trying times, and all the tears that you've caused through the years:
No Charge
For all the nights that were filled with dread, and for the worries I knew were ahead:
No Charge
For the toys, food, clothes, and even wiping your nose:
No Charge
Son, when you add it up, the cost of my love is:
No Charge.
When the boy finished reading what his mother had written, there were big tears in his eyes, and he looked straight at his mother and said, "Mom, I sure do love you." And then he took the pen and in great big letters he wrote: "PAID IN FULL".
Lessons:
· You will never know how much your parents worth till you become a parent.
Be a giver not an asker, especially with your parents. there is a lot to give, besides money.
Advice:
IF your mom is alive and close to you, give her a big kiss and ask her for forgiveness. If she is far away, call her. if she had long been gone (passed away), pray for her.
