Happy Monday! (after quite a long weekend break due to Divali hols)
Here’s to starting off the week by being productive,
and ultimately making more time for ourselves:
...eliminate distractions...boost productivity
1. Shut the door. Yes, it’s simple, but if we have work to get done, make it clear that we don’t want to be disturbed. Perhaps have that sticky note on the door, like...
"Temporarily out of bound. Seriously practising brain neurobics ". hahaha... I did this and it works wonders...surprisingly! ;-)

2. Check e-mail only two times per day. Try to limit our e-mail checking to noon and 4 p.m. That’s when we’re most likely to have responses from e-mails we sent earlier in the day.
At home
3. Hide our smartphone ( not easy though!!!). When we need to get things done around the house, limit the pull of e-mail, facebook, and Angry Birds by putting our smartphone away until the task at hand is done. If it's urgent, sure is whosoever the caller will probably follow up by a message.
4. Watch only the TV shows we love. Once our favourite show is over, turn off the set. Avoid channel surfing (oh yes, forget about Astro), as studies have found that TV doesn’t make people nearly as happy as activities that are more engaging like taking a walk or having dinner with our family or my friends.
What’s your best tip for decreasing distractions and increasing productivity?
