La Voix....life is a ride...

Bienvenu...
Sometimes, it crosses my mind that life isn’t fair, but it’s still good anyway.  Life is a constant battle against deadlock. As long as we are alive, as long as we continue challenging ourselves, we are bound to come up against difficult obstacles that need to be overcome. If life were all smooth sailing, if we never encountered setbacks, that in itself would be a sign of stagnation.  We can't develop genuine character and ability by sidestepping adversity and struggle. A  person's true nature is revealed at times of the greatest adversity.

Life without hardships may seem more attractive, but it is a shallow, lack luster thing. Even places that have been shrouded in darkness for billions of years can be illuminated. Even a stone from the bottom of a river can be used to produce fire. Our present sufferings, no matter how dark, have certainly not continued for billions of years-nor will they linger forever. The sun will definitely rise. In fact, its ascent has already begun.

Consequently, we should realize that life is a school and we are here to learn. Problems are simply part of the curriculum that appear and fade away like algebra class but the lessons we learn will last a lifetime. However good or bad a situation is, it will change. God heals everything…

I sincerely believe that God and us are one - there is no distinction between us. Just like how we have parts of our parents in us, we have a part of God in every single one of us. I believe that we are exactly who and where we are meant to be at any point in time. We just need to have faith that we are all part of this grand plan for the greater good, even though it doesn't seem to be that way sometimes.
God is that part of us that is us at our best - when we are most honest and authentic with ourselves, that is us at our purest - without judgment, fear, anger, doubt or sadness. And when we feel that there is no hope, just remember that God will not give us the desire to soar without first giving us our wings.

So, let’s enjoy the ride. Just remember that this is not Disney World and we certainly don’t want a fast pass. We only have one ride through life, so make the most of it and enjoy the ride. Laugh when we can, apologize when we should, and let go of what we can’t change. Let’s pray that God would grant us the  courage to accept the things that we can’t change and the wisdom to know the difference….

Bonne chance!
