The final speech...
The Great Dictator
This video clip is not just for entertainment.
I remember to have seen umpteen number of Chaplin's movies which are all
silent. Exception: the above. This is a remarkable piece
of his work to be preserved as a document. He did not blink his eyes during his speech and said,
"I'm sorry, but I don't want to be an Emperor - that's not my
business. I don't want to rule or conquer anyone. I should like to help
everyone, if possible -- Jew, gentile, black man, white. We all want to
help one another; human beings are like that. We want to live by each others
happiness, ......."
National barriers cannot facilitate governance. They only interrupt the natural flow of life, of which people are inescapably a part of. They facilitate capitalist interests and the EU, the African Union, the emerging Pacific Union and the coming American Union - are examples of how the few elite are taking over the world. Barriers in any form, make possible the hoarding of resources, and as a byproduct, determine who is "free", and who is not. Borders of nations that we created are not natural. This is a human act onto things to separate us from the rest. There is always a misconception about politicians and governments. They are not our leaders, they are your servants, they are there to manage our affairs.
Just imagine if everyone would be born blind in this world. So then we won't be able to see our differences. We won't be mesmerized by sparkling things. And we would live with the help of one another in a world of darkness where there is hope. Human beings are born "perfect." The only thing that make us imperfect are these judgmental eyes that we have.

Forever this speech will be simple and clear. This is a timeless performance,
still applicable and just as beautiful today - Amazing ! I find it ironic, that this was made so many years ago
but it is applicable today more than ever.
